Update to the Shenanigans

After a few crazy days, here is an update to the situation with all of this:
Haven't heard a single word from any officials that anything is being done to help. Congressman Pete Stauber had written a letter to General Jensen (State Adjutant General), but General Jensen basically told him it wasn't any of his business.
I contacted Congressman Stauber's office and asked why they weren't doing more, and also explained that the people sharing this blog had done more in 24 hours than he had done in 2 weeks. His office told me they are still "working on it".
I haven't heard anything back from Amy Klobuchar's office, nor the Governor.
Funny thing about coming off State Active Duty- we all got COVID tested within hours of being back at Camp Ripley. We conducted the testing on OURSELVES. Literally swabbed our own noses. So after living with about a thousand people in one building for 4 days, we get COVID testing within such a short time frame that most people wouldn't show positive anyway... AND we conducted the tests on ourselves. I'm guessing most people wouldn't shove the swab as far as it needed to go, and anecdotally it sounds like they weren't pressured to do so (I did, I gagged, but my medic coach watching me wouldn't have made me do so).
I guess the point of this is- how serious are they taking our soldier's health? 26 states have reported either steady cases and deaths from COVID, or increasing cases and deaths since Memorial Day.
I need to say how proud I am of the residents of the State of Minnesota for all the shares and views. It makes me so proud to know that my fellow soldiers have such a backbone of support. That is what this was all for to begin with- keeping our citizen soldiers in their roles as community members and keeping their family and employee/employer/student relationships strong.
